Travel Info Are there any backpacker tours that go from East Coast to West? I can't find any that go from Sydney to Perth Travel Tips I don't know of any companies that will do the whole thing as one trip. There is a company called Nullabor Traveller that does from Adelaide to Perth in 9 days http://www.the-traveller.com.au/ap.htm... You could combine this with tours/flights between Sydney - Melbourne - Adelaide. Some good companies for this bit: www.groovygrape.com.au www.adventuretours.com.au Or as someone else suggested, could do the train. You can buy a backpacker pass that allows you to hop on and off the train so that you could do Sydney - Melbourne - Adelaide - Perth though I think that you would see/experience a lot more being on a tour. Others Suggestion is that you find your own way to get to Perth from Sydney. If you shop around you may find a cheap flight. Once in Perth, there are many backpack hotels and you should be able to pick up with a group of people there. They also tend to go up and down the west coast together. good luck mate Perth is a long way from Sydney and so there are unlikely to be any tours going all the way. However if you want to slowly make your way to perth head from Sydney to Melbourne to Adelaide (i am sure tours will go to these places) and from adelaide either fly to perth or get the bus or train depending on your budget. Once in perth there will be many backpacking oportunities for you as it is a lovely and beautiful spot to visit. I suggest the Indian Pacific train between Sydney and Perth. Train passes are available for travel across the country east/west and north/south. Great backpacker rates and they are fantastic travel options.
