Travel Info they say it its a wonderful place , clean and green and people very friendly Travel Tips Yes it is, beautiful and green. I have been there several times and travelled extensively in the North and South islands. The most exciting places to see and do are; Hole in the Rock, Waitomo caves, Rotorua and Mt.Egmont in the North island. In the South, the Glaciers, Milford Sound, Queenstown and a drive through Mt.Cook via Twizel to Christchurch. Very friendly people, extremely polite and the accomodation in the conveniently located motels extremely good. Others Yes I lived there for 20+ years. Half my life in aussie - half in NZ. Yeh ive been to Bondi and Mt Druitt and Cambelltown. (Sydney Suburbs). there basically New New Zealand these days lol Seen used lion red cans on the street, and someone calling out for jake. No............................... Yes I have been to NZ. Spent 3 years living and working there (I'm from the UK) and it is a lovely country. The South island is more amazing scenery wise than the North island but both have lots to offer. People are very friendly but its kind of at a superficial level and despite being in the country for 3 years, hardly any of my regular acquaintances turned into real friends and when I moved towns didn't bother keeping in contact. Bit on a day to day basis when dealing with people in shops, cafes, bars, etc they are very pleasant. Places you should definitely visit are: In the South island... Nelson Marlborough Sounds Abel Tasman National Park Karamea Punakaiki Glaciers Kaikoura Dunedin The Catlins Lake Wanaka In the North island... Wellington Kauri Forests (Northland) East Cape Tongariro Crossing 3 years spent living in NZ |
