Shipping to Australia: Do I pay duty on personal belongings I take?

Travel Info
We are moving to Australia permanently.

However will I be required to pay any duty on the personal belongings I am taking with me?
I may take quite a few DVD for example.

Travel Tips
No.
As long as you are not showing alot of new items still in boxes because they would think you are importing .. or alot of 1 item.

Bottom line is they are personal items.
Don't pack anything in fruit boxed - a big no no and they will charge alot!
Others
ok if its all over 12 months old
no you wont pay duty on used goods however depending on where you are coming from your dvd's will not work on the australian format
