Can someone recommend a shipping firm to ship our stuff to Australia? |
Travel Info We are in the process of moving to Australia permanently from the UK. Does anyone know a good firm that will ship a few box loads of stuff to Australia for us? Travel Tips try these my we are using these at this moment in time very good services and where moveing to sydney in 4 weeks good luck ull love it there Source(s): http://www.anglopacific.co.uk/shipping.h... Other Travel Tips I would recommend searching the websites for UPS or FedEX. We've always had success with these companies. Both are quick and reliable. Good luck! Try P&O Todds furniture . D Todd Removals & Storage 489Mills Rd, Chilton Ind. Est Sudbury, Suffolk. CO10 2XX Tel 1787 377 Fax: 01787 880597 e-mail: service@todd-removals.co.uk They did a GREAT job for me in2006, Every-thing, including China arrived very well. Cheaper if you ask for it not to be all sent together but used as fillers in not completely full containers. (Mine still arrived together and quickly ) but it's a lot cheaper this way. If you go with them tell them "the short fat and cute lady" from Australia but living in Lavenham reccomended them, remind them she talks, and talks and talks. GREAT that you are moving to the BEST country in the world. Oh and when you get here WELCOME. Andy, don't bring electrical appliances. There is no guarantee that they will meet Australian standards, I'm not suggesting that there is anything wrong with them, but they might have to be approved and that could cost real money. The plugs are different anyhow. Electric shavers, multi-voltage phone and laptop chargers are OK though. Anything else, that's up to you. Check the companies suggested in the TNT magazine, 1 company suggested is 7 seas. get more info at www. Tntmagazine.co.uk, or www.sevenseas.co.uk, check prices for Tea chests, or part containers depending on your volume you are shipping. Regards you electrical gear suggested by someone in answers dont worry take what you want you can either replace the plug, get an adapture or get new leads. Voltage/electrical standards are the same as they are based on UK standards. Finally take the Aussie approach.... Bugger it all go to the pub and sort it out tommorrow. Enjoy you time down under |
