In N.Z. do consumers prefer their cars with manual or automatic transmissions? Also, what about Australia?

I believe it would depend on where in n.z they live..people in the the larger cities prefer autos due to congested traffic etc, but in the smaller areas they may prefer to really drive there cars (manuals)..and yes women do prefer autos.
Others

I think in the general sense - most women prefer automatics. (both Aussie and NZ).
Over all I think the Automatic would be the dominant vehicle, but I prefer a manual.
Remember we drive on the left and our cars are right hand drive. Pedals are clutch/ brake/ accelerator, left to right, and you would have to get used to the gear leaver with your left hand.
