Travel Info we are both NZ citizens Travel Tips Marriages in Las Vegas are recognized worldwide, but marriage does not constitute citizenship. Source(s): http://www.insidervlv.com/marriage.html... Other Travel Tips The validity of marriages in most common law countries (like New Zealand) is determined by the lex loci celebrationis the law of the place where the ceremony takes place. If the marriage is legit in Vegas it will be legit in NZ. But do it in Tahoe, not Vegas. Tahoe is much prettier. Go make friends at the forum over on www.visajourney.com and then get their views and experiences on the matter, as you will not be the first. Good luck and congrats As long as it is a lgal service in Vegas it will be OK here, though I don't know about same sex marriages. yes it is - Las Vegas weddings are legal worldwide. You turn up at the Marriage Licence Bureau with your passports and $55 cash and pick up your licence; you can then get married in any of the chapels (over 70 to choose from - see the site below). You can then get hold of a copy of your wedding certificate 10 days after the wedding by sending $10 to the Clark County Recorders Office. http://www.-las-vegas-weddings... |
