So far as serving alcohl is concerned anyone can work in a bar. However to be a licensed bar manager you need the corect qualification....TY Others I know lots of people that are serve in bars all over Australia especially in tourist areas like Broome and Queensland and they didn't need a certificate there is shortage of good bar staff I don't think you would have much trouble getting a job.I know a young lady from Britain she went to holiday in a place called Monkey Mia West Australia she ended up getting a job to pay for her expenses. My daughter and her friends. no, buts its only a few day course to get a liquor license in aus No, You need to get an Australian RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) it costs about $90 and is only a day course you have to do. Don't even attempt to come here to work without a permit to work from the Australian Embassy or your nearest Australian Consular Office or you'll be flying back on the next flight, DO make sure that you come with a valid Credit card with at least AU$3,000 available and cash as well.That way you can come in as a Tourist and for Christ's sake don't mention that you intend to work here to Customs and Immigration at the Airport.Do come with an Itinerary(even if you'll never use it) or they'll get you.Mike above is correct about the RSA.Once you are here I am sure you'll get a job (if you are proficient).Obviously you'll have to tell your prospective employer that(if) you will be working illegally 'coz you will not have A Tax File No.So you'll probably have to accept less($) than the Locals.Any more questions look me up.Have a great time here.
