Travel Info how does making an ANZAC dollar help both NZ and Australia? Travel Tips If Australia and New Zealand ever have the same currency, it won't be called ANZAC anything. Use of that name is severely restricted in honour of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. Many pacific island nations use either the Australian or the New Zealand dollar as their currency so having a joint currency would benefit trade and travel through the whole region just as the Euro benefits trade and travel in Europe. Others There will never be one. And I very much doubt that if there was one, it wouldnt be called and ANZAC dollar - its too sacred a name An ANZAC Dollar? Why the h... didn't we do away with the UK pound after Gallopoli? I'm not sure if there will be a shared currency, given exchange rates on each, economies etc, but perhaps there will be a time. NZ was initially under the ruling of NSW after all. Just a thought |
