I am moving to Australia soon. Can I use electrical equipment bought in the UK (wii, computer etc) in Oz? |
Travel Info Obviously the plugs are different, but I am wondering about power, wattage etc? Travel Tips Yes it should be fine.I bought some of my electrical stuff from Ireland and just got the plugs changed. Others if you just complete a few quick tasks on this site they'll send you a nintendo wii, completely free of charge!! http://mythologyaaeaaee.blogspot.com/... I believe that if you just get the plugs changed by a sparkie, then they should be fine. we are also on 240v Europe and Australia are on 220-240v 50hz so electrical equipment does not need any transformers. The USA is on 110v 60hz so it does need a transformer. No yr equipment wont work in Australia so u'll have to buy new stuff. I'm an electrician for ASIO's electronics store. |
