Accommodation Ideas For New Zealand Nov Dec And January 08? |
Travel Info I am hopefully going to New Zealand Nov Dec and January. I have not the foggiest what to do but I will be using YHA accomodation. I have noticed that there does not seem to be many YHA's in NZ. Whereas in Australia they are plentifull. What other options for accomodation are there in NZ. I am also considering a farm stay. Great country, I used to live there what about this website? its really good http://www.qualmark.co.nz and i live in nz too :) generally speaking the hostels are not of the same high standard as yha in oz - but they are cheap and plentiful. when you stay at one on arrival such as in auckland, christchurch, you can then get lots of info from the front desk & bulletin boards on accommodation in other towns you want to travel to. you didn't say if you were going north or south island? www.marvinfarms.co.nz/faq www.hostelbookers.com www.travelplanner.co.nz/accomm... NZ does not have the same population base as Oz to support higher numbers of things here, but we do have a few backpackers/hostels out there, although I admit not many YHA ones...... Farm stays are here too, but not that many really, I would just try and search on the net for farm stays in NZ and see what comes up.
