We are moving to W.A next March? |
Travel Info We (my wife and I) intend to move to WA next march and we are flexible as to where we can live. Which areas should we start looking in which will give us a good opportunity for work and reasonably priced rental accom (3 bed house etc.)? We are both professional people working in the security industry. Travel Tips If your a professional couple I'd suggest moving to Subiaco, Claremont or Cottesloe. The city cent re is only about 15 minutes away, and Freo is about 5 or 10 minutes..............Good Luck Others WA is in the middle of a boom so there is plenty of work everywhere. Perth is a beautiful city to live...I moved here from Exmouth WA last year. It is quite cheap still compared to other places really. We rented a huge 4 bedroom house right near the beach in Port Kennedy (Rockingham, South of the River) for $240 a week...which is good apparently. In Exmouth houses are up over the $300 mark now. Geraldton is also still cheap but is quite windy and not so nice a town. I know that down south, Margaret River, Dunsbourough, Denmark etc are expensive now and don't know if there would be too much work there but Albany is a nice city (although cold). Broome is gorgeous but probably expensive these days too as it is a tourist mecca. There are all the mining towns, Newman, Kalgoorlie, Coolgardie, and a million others that have fly in fly out work for good money. Then you would probably base yourself in Perth and fly to work every few weeks. I would definatley start with Perth if I was you...more oppurtunities and cheaper rent than anywhere else I know of. Good luck. West Aussie chick thats lived almost everywhere. try redcliff.belmont.rivervale.kew dale.high wycombe.most of these are pretty central Bunbury not as big as Perth but big enough and just as good and it has some great surrounding areas to visit on weekends. It has a lot going for it in terms of growth so you would have a very good chance of getting a job.Good luck. |
