It's the place to find work that fits your lifestyle. Have fun in Aussie backpacking around ! Others There is ALWAYS seasonal work for backpackers in Australia. The tendency for backpackers is to follow the work as it takes you from one season to another, around Australia. You will have an absolute BLAST...so pack up and enjoy! Fly into Cairns in far north Queensland and then take a bus to Tulley or Innisfail. These are the two major banana and pineapple producing areas in Australia and you should be able to find work year round. There is a lovely backpackers in Tulley run by Jude and she will take great care of you. You will only be 50 klms from Cairns which has a population of about 150 thousand and you can always dive the Great Barrier Reef and do the rainforests during your time off. When you get tired of Tulley/Innisfail you can go up to the Tablelands, also just outside of Cairns. This is the area where they grow strawberries, avocados and vegetables. Good luck - enjoy your holiday |
