Places in Oz to snorkel off the beach. Prefer warm waters.?

Travel Info
Like to snorkel but just off the beach. Is there anywhere in NSW or Southern Queensland that has any good spots?
Must have easy access to site. Don't want to be climbing stairs down cliff sides.

Travel Tips
The Ningaloo Reef in North Western Australia is absolutely amazing and at this time of year you can also snorkel with whalesharks from dive charter boats. The reef itself is so close to the shore than most of it can be accessed from the beach. It is a very warm climate...winter is the best time to visit as it is consistantly in the 30's...so it warm and sunny every day.

Here is a web link...check it out. Source(s): http://www.discoverwest.com.au/western_a...
Other Travel Tips
huh
I would recommend somewhere like Hayman Island in south QLD or Port Stephens, a few hours north of Sydney.

Nelson Bay (Port Stephens) have dive boats that take you to Broughton Island for the day too.
If you want WARM waters (all year round).. come to Cairns
North Qld - gateway to the Great Barrier Reef.
