Has Anyone Heard Of or been To Ningaloo reef, Australia? |
Travel Info Its between perth and darwin on the west coast of australia. The largest fringe fringe reef in the world. Its really good and if you havent been there you should go. Travel Tips I am from there actually. I lived in Exmouth WA for the past 16 years but just moved to Perth last year as the heat in summer got a bit much. It can get to 50 degrees celcius some days and I ended up living in the air conditioning instead of enjoying the beautiful beaches as I used to when I was young. All 4 of my siblings still live there though so when I get homesick, I can go back for a visit! My brother in law works on a dive boat that does whale shark tours where you can snorkel with these giant creatures at this time of year (winter) and it is and it is just amazing. The weather in winter is in the 30's pretty much every day so is the perfect time to visit. The Ningaloo Reef is but metres from the shore in many places so you can walk or swim out to it...rather than having to take a boat out to find it. Turquoise Bay is beautiful white sandy beach with the reef extremely close by and a great place to spend a lazy sunny day. Now that I have been thinking about it...I am homesick, especially for this time of year as it is the best season to be there. Other Travel Tips that's not a question when you answer it yourself Yes I went camping near Yardi Creek for 2 weeks it was beautiful but I wasn't all that impressed with Exmouth though it has no character Coral Bay was nice though. |
