Where's better to go in July Perth or Darwin??

Travel Info
Weather wise?

Fun wise!!??

Travel Tips
It's Winter in the southern hemisphere at the moment so seeing as Oz is in the southern hemishpere then in Juky it will be in the grips of winter.
Perth has a Mediteranian climate and therefore a hot, dry winter and a cold, wet winter. So in July it will be, weather wise at least, quite unpleasant. Whereas Darwin has a tropical climate and therefore it has a wet and dry season. The wet being in the "summer" months and they have tropical storms and cylones during this time. In the dry season it is warm and dry during the "winter" months.
So saying this I would reccommend Darwin just on the weather aspect anyway.
Have a great holiday.

Darwin for sure, its nearer the equator. Perth will be quite chilly as its winter in Oz just now.
Weston super mare.
Foo 's right u betta go the closer u can 2 da equator line... send me a postcard from da wonderful australia (jockin)!have fun!
I would say Darwin, the main reason being is that it is winter here. If you are having trouble finding activitys, here is the main site.

July is the middle of winter there, so since Darwin is on the Northern coast, I would imagine it would be more tropical weather. I have not been to either place. I visited Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the Olgas in the Outback. Winter is the ONLY time of year I'd recommend that. I was there in August of 2000. Later I visited Cannes and snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef. That was tons of fun as was riding class 4 rapids down the Tully river a little South of there. I also enjoyed the Karunda adventure and hot air balloon ride. Sydney and the opera house there are also wonderful. Do enjoy yourself. It is the trip of a lifetime. The scenery is prettier in New Zealand and I found the people to be more open and friendly in NZ.
My own travel experiences from three trips "down under."
