What do people outside of Australia, think about Australia? |
Travel Info I've always wondered this. Are the stereotypes what people really think of us? I know I can have a laugh at it because it's so totaly untrue, but too many jokes can cause mis-conceptions. Travel Tips I feel a kinship with Australians, as most Americans do. We had similar situations, with the Puritans escaping for the New Land, and the convicts sent off to this vast Southern continent. Both groups worked hard, established their governments and became prosperous. I like Australians. I like their relaxed camaraderie, their "Crocadile Dundee" sense of adventure, their humor. I like the idea of a mess of "Shrimp on the Barbee" and celebrating with friends just before taking a Walkabout. I like the Australian people, and I like their animals. Kangaroos, wallabies, dingos.....not a one of them indigenous to any other place! On top of that, Australia is a huge country with everything a person could want....mountains, desert, or oceanside views. A visit there has been a dream of mine and I hope this dream comes true. Others i live in tennessee in america i think australians are one of the best countries arent trigger happy like yours truly dont make trouble and seem to be pretty tough considering you deal with all those spiders that run in your house and bite you every time you open your door I've never been outside the U.S. I've always wanted to go to Australia but honestly I've heard that the bugs are bigger there and that the ozone hole sits right over Australia and that the technology hasn't yet caught up to the U.S. I don't know if any of that is true. But I would consider moving there if it's not true. I think it's a beautiful place and the people seem so friendly. But I'm scared of big bugs. Let me know if I'm wrong. Aussies for the most part stay outa the spot light here (in the US.) Aside from having some of the sexiest sounding men out there. I mean really you boys there make me just wanta lick ya, when you talk. A few adorable animals and some not so adorable bugs. I guess one stereotype would have to be that you all must be criminals cause your relatives were . Although thats just unlogical and dumb thought process. And most people that can think on there own would realize that. Australians ride kangaroos instead of cars Watch Crocodile Dundee everday Get into bar brawls and pretend to be Russell Crowe Are always throwing shrimp on the barbie Drink more XXXX than water Are all convict descendants Have lethal animals such as drop bears Like to play 2up while having a bbq on top of the harbor bridge with a bunch of wombats Take their knives to Butcheries and say "thats not a knife.. this is a knife" Often take afternoon strolls known as 'walkabouts' Instead of sleeping, they have 'dreamtime' If you lick the back of cane-toads, you get high please ask your question & say WANKERS dont answer only idiots seem to be answering you I am a migrant in australia....and have been living here for three years....I think Australian people are very polite....open minded and kind.....respectful....Austral... is safe....no guns like USA.....Australia is one of the best places in the world with regard to human developement.....it is secular and a lot of different people can have equal rights.... |
