Visa vs. Passport ??? |
Travel Info Do you need a visa and/or passport to visit Australia for one month ??? What about 1 year ??? Travel Tips You must have a passport to travel to Australia. I'm not aware of any country whose nationals can travel to Australia without a visa at all but the kind of visa will depend on your nationality and the length and purpose of your stay. For one month, I'd say you'd need a tourist visa (which, last time I looked, was valid for 6 months) but for one year it would be a bit complicated. When I was in my 20s, I travelled to Australia on a working holiday visa. It was valid for 12 months and you were permitted to work for up to 3 months at at time. I had to provide evidence before travelling of having enough money to support myself at the start of my visit. I don't know if they still operate the scheme, which had an upper age limit if I recall correctly. Source(s): You should get all you need from here - the horse's mouth, so to speak:- http://www.immi.gov.au/immigration.htm... Other Travel Tips You will definitely need a passport to travel to or from anywhere into Australia, a visa is also required, but the length of the visa issued will depend on what type of visa you are applying for ( student visa, visitor visa or work visa) hope this helps Probably, because thats a long time and its far from america. you need both a visitor visa will not give you a year you need both a visa and a passport to visit Australia no matter how long you are staying here of course u need one... |
