And it's Uluru by the way - we don't call it Ayers Rock anymore. There are so many things that are "must see" - depends on how long are you staying here and how much money you have. A lot of 'must see' are pretty far apart and you have to travel a long distance to see them. Do google search - you will get a great list. (While in Sydney looking at the Oprah House, try the Harbour Bridge climb, get a ferry to Manly and have lunch on the beach - that is soooo Australian thing to do. Then take a day trip to the Blue Mountains and see the Three Sisters.) Others The Stair Way to Heaven in Broome - Western Australia. It's where the sun sets over the ocean and looks like steps to heaven. I would love to see the "Australia Zoo" There are soooo many beautiful sights to see in that country. bondi beach, Tasmania (wildlife), Berrosa Vally or Margaret river for the vineyards. Melbourne for the cultural aspect. Try to visit an Indigenous community (you may need permission from a elder first) but it will give you the 'real' view of how they live. Manly beach. Sydney fish markets. Redfern (urban indigenous community) Cabramatta the best Vietnamese food outside of Vietnam. Melbourne or Sydney's China town, oldest and Biggest china town in the world. Byron bay (a must see sleepy but vibrant coastal town) Nimbin-hippy community. The Austrlian Zoo, Hamilton Island, Cape York tin can bay on the sunshine coast. there is a beach here where the dolphins swim up to you and you can feed them. what an experience been there |
