My husband and I are going to Australia in April 2008 what is a must see?

Travel Info
We are flying into Sydney and of course the Oprah House is on the agenda and we're going to the Great Barrier Reef. These are my husbands choices he wants me to pick out some places too. I have no clue what to see....I want it to be something amazing that most people don't get to see. Any suggestions?

Travel Tips
Uluru (or known as Ayres rock)
http://www.uluru.com
A large sandstone rock formation located in the Northern Territory of central Australia. It is listed as a World Heritage Site for its natural and man-made attributes.
Take an Aborignal guided tour - http://www.ananguwaai.com.au/anangu_tour...

Apart from that where ever you are in Aussie there are 'Big Things' - check out the guide http://www.bigthings.com.au
or http://www.travelmate.com.au/bigthings/b...
or http://home.alphalink.com.au/~richardb/p...

If you are going out on the reef from Cairns - ... while you are here a trip to the Aboriginal Culture Park http://www.tjapukai.com.au and on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. http://www.skyrail.com.au
(same car park, right next door to each other)

The skyrail takes you up to the rainforest village of Kuranda. http://www.kuranda.org - or take the skyrail up one way and train back down to the city. Kuranda Scenic Railway http://www.ksr.qr.com.au
A must see !

go to an animal reserve
A drive through bottle-o to get alcohol. I heard you dont have them. btw im australian. If you're staying in the east then make a day at a public beach.
But besides the opera house and harbour bridge theres not much in terms of man made.
the animals!
Try Ayers Rock. It is a sacred place to the aborigines.
what about bondi beach?...or tamarama beach...hey you have to see..the wave-like rock...somewhere in australia..I can't remember the name exactly..sorry!
There are so many things to see and do whislt your here, too many to name, and given your sparse details it's difficult to anticipate preference for sight seeing.

If you wish, send me an e-mail with a little more detail, I will research some places and events that might interest you.

Good luck
