Travel Info Have you been to Adelaide? If so what is your opinion on the place? Travel Tips Quiet, nice city, plenty of trees and cathedrals, great parks, excellent art centre, shops were good, but I prefer Melbourne or Sydney for holidays. Others I love Adelaide ! I'm in Melbourne, but I'm saving to buy a house in the Adelaide area next year. The people are friendly, the city is clean and well laid out and there's so much to do there !! Adelaide is great, it reminded me a lot of an northern English town. It is a quiet town with a nice pier and a lovely beach. And you can visit the F1 course. And take a trip to Kangaroo Island and watch the seals lazing in the sun! Been twice. Once when I was a kid and I don't remember much. Second time was three years ago. Adelaide doesn't grab me at all. Barossa Valley is nice, but Adelaide is ordinary Truthfully, Adelaide is a place for relaxation and quiet time. Not a place for fun and excitement. Adelaide is known for being the "oldy" town, that is, most of the population in Adel is made up of the elderly. However, there are some places that are fun to visit in Adelaide. For example: Kangaroo Island - where you can see sealions(i think), koalas, nature and other various things. Victor Harbour - you can see fairy penguins and ride on the old tram led by horses which leave sh!t behind in its tracks!(haha) Barossa Valley - a well known place where wine is central etc... So, repeat, Adelaide is a place for time out and, not suitable for people who are thrill-seekers. born and raised in Adelaide |
