Moving to Adelaide from Ohio?

I am a 22 year old college student, recently decided to move to Adelaide from my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio in order to pursue my dreams and education. I moved to the USA only 6 years ago from Sydney, and now that I am going back, I desperately need some updates and advice on how to start over again. I am very familiar with Australian culture [because I was born in Sydney], but I have been Americanized and would like some help on adapting to the Aussie lifestyle again. Help appreciated.

You wont find it that hard. Now, I did it kind of in reverse, in that I am from the US, and I went to live in New Zealand (which obviously isnt Aussie, but still), and then came back to the US. There were a few months where things seemed funny to me, and I stood out as being "different" for a short while with my Kiwi accent and all- but it was really like putting on an old coat- very familiar, and I was completely re-Americanized in such a short time that I could hardly believe it. Thats kind of a nice things between Aussies/Kiwis/Americans- we're different, but the differences are of the "interesting" variety- they arent real hard to overcome. And Im really jealous by the way, I wish I could relocate down to either Aussie or NZ, I do like that kicked back, no worries lifestyle more than what Im living here.

Adelaide is a beautiful place to live. The main piece advice I would give is to be prepared to get used to a much slower lifestyle. It is easy to get used to the fast pace of a American city and all its options. I suggest not worrying about fitting back in.
