I have had a work visa for austrlaia but want to go back to live, what are my options? |
Travel Info I do administration work so therefore do not qualify for skilled visa & I have family in Sydney but it is distant family. Can anyone help?? Travel Tips I hope I'm not too cruel but cultural sensitivity would have you spell "Australia" correctly. Your options are pretty much limited. 1. Get appropriate work skills. 2. Get married to an Australian. 3. (A bit weird this one!) Play cupid: get a very close relative to marry an Australia and come here. The first might not seem so hard as it seems. Australia has woefully let it's skill base decline over the last ten years and there are widening areas now recognised as warranting "skills visas". Study. Get an appropriate skill. CU! Others 鈧偓You are basically pretty stuffed, unless you have a skill or you want to marry an australian, but you dont want to be marrying someone just to live here. It is very difficult to get back in and you need to show a long and ongoing relatinship if you are going to use the marraige option. It is very difficult unfortunately. If you do decide to marry an Australian just be warned that they are pretty tough on it. they really do check your history with the person. You may have to return home for up to two years whilst the application is being processed. If it is later found to be fraudulent (even if they have granted you residency) they may revoke your visa. I'll make the assumption that you don't have a lot of money. if you could afford to buy a business that would employ a certain number of Australians (I think it is 5+). the you may be able to come in under an entrepreneurial/investment visa. Try speaking to the Department of Immigration. |
