Living in New Zealand for a year? |
Travel Info I am moving to New Zealand next year in octoberish with a friend of mine. We'll want to find cheap living and a seasonal job. If you can tell me about how to go about finding these things great. additional info on transportation and sites to see would be great. Any other info would be helpful. I know nothing and have a year to save money and reserch, so tell me whatever you know. Travel Tips Try these websites. There are a lot of seasonal jobs out there, especially oct and later. There are some places that would have lots of jobs for horticulture.viticulture eg central otago, marlborough, Nelson and hawkes bay (which are provincial areas and why its harder to fill the positions) Source(s): http://www.seasonalwork.co.nz/index.bsp... http://www.seasonworkers.com/fe/... http://www.pickingjobs.com/job.php?jobid... http://www.seasonaljobs.co.nz/ http://www.workingin-newzealand.com/... http://www.immigration.govt.nz/... Other Travel Tips Lots of places over here will hire you for seasonal work - fruit picking and packing, working on a vineyard etc. It's good work, and you meet lots of nice people. As long as you are a hard worker you won't have any problems getting a job. They also sometimes have places to stay, like a lodge at the place, because they are not near main cities. This means you can work and save money to tour around the rest of our beautiful country. I live in NZ. try the seek website. sometimes accomodation and transport is provided at fruit picking jobs. passenger transport , ritchies, and inter city are good bus lines. try looking up destination-nz.com and www.aatravel.co.nz you could stay at backpackers www.bbh.co.nz or stay at camping grounds. also have a look at www.yellowpages.co.nz |
