I am willing to spend the new year's eve for about 7 days there, and I need to plan it nicely :P

St. Anton! You get 3 mountains for the price of one and the town is small. It is a GREAT place and if you want to take some time off from skiing, you can hop on the train and go to Salzburg. If you go to the VERY top of St. Anton, it will take you ALL day to ski down. Trust me, and I was tucking it on a few of the "trails" Just about everything there is above tree line and you MUST acclamate to the altitude. It's a GREAT place!
