Travel Info Where's the best part of brazil to stay for a vacation? Travel Tips I am brazilian.... Go to -Fernando de noronha (is beautiful) -Bahia -Fortaleza -Natal Good Travel =-D Others wherever you decide, remember that Brazil has more sharks attacks with fatalities than anywhere else on earth. Buzios for sure. Its close to Rio (2 hours) so you can see the sights etc... Great hotels, some 20 beaches, and very safe (no sharks either) check www.buziosonline.com for hotels i recomend www.abracababrapousada.com.br or www.casasbrancas.com both small, sofisticated, great local, cosy... check the sites. both can provide transfers from Rio international so you dont have to worry about transport from Rio and back. I agree, Fortaleza is amazing, Fernando de Noronha as well and many other places mentioned... Buzios is great for a first time traveller to Brazil cause its close to Rio, where international flights land (well S茫o Paulo as well)... has great infrastructure and you get to see Rio, which is still the major atraction in Brazil, and it deserves. Comming to Brazil and not Rio its like going to France for the first time and not going to Paris, or going to the US and skipping NYC. That way you get the best of the beach/relax part, with Buzios and also get to check Rio. If you have the means to get there, i recommend the Northeast (Pernambuco, Alagoas, Rio Grande do Norte e Cear谩) if you are looking for a paradise. And it doesn't matter what time of year you come because it makes 30潞 celcius everyday, and sunny. If you want something more adventurous, the Amazon is an incredible place. Easy (but some of the best) parts to get to are Maraj贸 island (not far from Bel茅m city) but if you want to venture deeper, theres the Tapaj贸 forest and Alter do Ch茫o river beach near Santar茅m, and further on you can make expeditions from Manaus city or Tef茅 into the Ianomami reserve. Its a big area so you can really only cover a certain part each time. If you are an ecological tourist, there are some amazing national parks like the Pantanal (through Bonito city, wetlands area full of wildlife), Chapada Diamantina (highlands area of waterfalls and hiking) and Len莽ois Maranhenses (a massive area of sand dunes and tidal pools) Most people go to Rio and usually stay around the beaches of the south coast but you'll find a 'real' brazil in the northern areas.. if you need more info just email I stayed in Florianopolis once, and thought it was very nice! It's an island in the southern part of Brasil. 42 beaches to choose from...lots to do... It's not as full of crime as Rio, but everyone there said it is just as beautiful!
