Anyone know the specific voltage for certain areas of Brazil? |
Travel Info I'm traveling to Brazil for two years, but I'm not going to any major cities. I'm serving a church mission, and my area takes up part of Mato Grosso, and almost all of Rondonia and Acre. The cities of that area are Cuiaba, Cruzeiro do Sul, Rio Branco, and Porto Velho. Does anyone know specifically what voltage they use? It seems everywhere is different in Brazil. Thanks! Others ---I PERSONNALLY DO NOT KNOW---BUT I DO KNOW THAT MANY EURO COUNTRIES OPERATE ON 220-240 , 50mhz, VOLTAGE SYSTEM.--SOUNDS AS THOUGH THAT YOU WOULD BENEFIT FROM A VARIABLE TRANSFORMER WHICH YOU CAN BUY AT "RADIO-SHACK", WAL-MART/K-MART, OR OTHER ELECTRONICS STORES----also , you'll need to check out the internet to see the type of 'comfiguration' for the predominately used type(s)electrical plugs,and wall recepticles--also , can be bought at those same stores HERE MUCH MORE CHEAPER THAN THERE!!! Yes, it varies from city to city. For example Sao Paulo is 110v and Sao Jose dos Campos which is barely seventy miles away is 220v. Sorry I dont know the specific voltage of the cities you mentioned. Would be best, if you can, contact somebody in the church there to give you the exact information. |
