Is it safe to run (fazer cooper) at the Ibirapuera park, in Sao Paulo, Brazil?

I am visisting Sao Paulo, Brazil, in a few weeks, and although I have been there many times I have never visisted the park; I like to run every morning, so I thought I should ask if it is safe, and generally a good idea to run there.

Yes it is. Be allert specially when getting in and out of the vehicle and don't leave valuables in the car. But other than that it is a great place for a jog.
