What time of year would be best to cruise the Amazon considering temperature, rain, insects, etc?

I have never been there (yet!), but I know that the temperatures are milder during the winter months. You should probably avoid the (very) rainy season (summer) when everything floods. but you should try to find out exactly what months that happens, so you can plan better. A travel agency might be able to help you. Or look for any website about the Amazon. Try google-ing something like "Amazon rain season". |
