Do Brazilians become offended by being greeted with a hug from a stranger? |
Travel Info My friend's son is marrying a girl from Brazil. She and the whole family will be ariving this evening late. Many of us here in west Michigan hug as a greeting especially in a situation like this, welcoming new family. Are Brazilians generally warm like that or are they ordinarally friendly but don't like physical contact like a hug. I'm not talking about the kissing like in France or Itally, just a warm hug and pat on the back. Travel Tips They'll be offended if you DON'T touch them, lol... Brazilians are very warm and tend to get very physical when greeting someone. Hugs and pats in the back are very common (also kisses between a man and a woman). |
