I love Manaus....anyone out there ever been?

Manaus is just great to go see the amazon. The opera house is the oldest in Brazil and historic. You can go on a boat ride of the amazon and see the meeting of the waters - Rio Negro and the Solimoes. The river fish (tambaki and tucunare) are among the tastiest in the world. Its a great duty free shopping place for all kinds of electronic gizmos. I have been there and I loved it.
