"The Canadian" Vancouver to Toronto train? |
Travel Info Hi - My parner and I are 23 and will be working in Canada for 12-Months starting March 2008. Prior to beginning work, most likely in the Toronto area we thought it would be a great idea to fly into Vancouver from Australia and then take the train the rest of the way through the rockies... Then I seen the price... about $3,000 for a berth. I am willing to pay this however I'd like to hear from anyone who had done the trip as to the value, experience, etc of taking this trip. Does the train stop for any extended period (ie. a couple of hours)... to sightsee quickly... Any other comments would be appreciated Travel Tips I have never taken the train the whole way, only from Winnipeg to Edmonton.
