Why Do Some Canadians Still Vote For NDP And Bloc Quebecoise? |
Travel Info Time to grow up and vote for a real party. Travel Tips Because everyone has the right to choose who they want to vote for and some people feel those are the better parties. That said, I am not saying that I prefer one of those 2. I wouldn't vote for them myself even if I was old enough to vote (I am 17). Others Because when we turned of voting age and are allowed to vote, then we as Canadian were given that right to vote for whom we see fit! That alone is why! Now weather we agree or not may be another story. (I never reveal whom I voted for but on a short note, I can say with all honesty, "It sure to hell wasn't them!") Long time joke was they are NDP which stands for- aNother Dumb P_rick. (And my mother is turning 78 years old. She told that same line when I was 10 years old) One person's "REAL" Party may be the other person's idea of the WORST Party and vice-versa, that's just the nature of politics. Then too, Canada's multi-party system, like in France, tends to split your Parliament into segments like an orange and it requires a good deal of effort to form coalitions of more than one party. You also have difficulty keeping parties together, they change their names which adds to the confusion. NDP is a very pro-union party akin to the left of the Democratic Party in the USA, Party Quebecois is too centered on the needs of one faction and can be disruptive albeit essential to forming coalitions. Unfortunately, the way in which your Provinces are laid out puts too much power in the same place so that the Western and Maritime Provinces often feel ignored. Why don't you learn how to use capitalization and spell correctly. The reason some Canadians vote for the NDP and Bloc is because they can. Free choice during elections is something I am proud of and while I personally wouldn't vote for either of these two parties I respect the right of others to cast their vote for these parties. These people exercise their right to vote? The same reason people vote Republican in the USA. I can't believe anybody would vote for Bush, but I guess to each there own |
