Do i need passport to drive through canada in july?

Travel Tips
You don't give your nationality.

US citizens now need a passport for air travel between Canada and the USA. However, passports will not be required for ground or sea travel until 2008. All you need is proof of insurance (ex. birth certificate) and valid ID (ex. driving license).

You should get a passport anyway. Source(s): www.state.gov
Other Travel Tips
Yes.
As early as January 1, 2008, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea (including ferries), may be required to present a valid passport or other documents as determined by the Department of Homeland Security.

1) It's hard to answer since you don't state what your citizenship is or where you're travelling from. That will affect the answer.

2) If you are a US citizen, and you're travelling to Canada from the US, then you won't need a passport in July 2007 if you drive across the border. You will need a passport if you fly across the border.

3) The requirement for passports at the land borders is not scheduled to start until January 2008.
