The Nashville Predators to Hamilton or Kitchener/Waterloo Ontario?!!? |
Travel Info Nooooo!!!! My beloved Maple Leafs do not need any more competition for fans. The Senators already have stolen our thunder! But this might encourage the Leafs to work harder. They've got Steve Sullivan, Peter Forsberg, Paul Kariya and Tomas Vokoun to compete against now! Travel Tips I don't know if it is so much letting as I have heard the fact there aren't enough fans to go around. Having another team might actually mean an average joe getting a ticket I say Kitchener Waterloo should get something , but either would be ok too. Others The Leafs and the Sabres won't let a team close to them. However, if I had to choose, I'd pick Hamilton. They'd stand a better chance. they will most likely move to hamilton out of waterloo and kitchener because hamilton has copps and i was brain storming names the best so far is the hamilton rims post any other ones that u come up with i would like to hear them Jim Balsille, the Blackberry billionaire, has agreed to buy the Nashville Predators.He could move this team to his home base of Kitchener-Waterloo. Interestingly enough, the local paper in Kitchener-Waterloo reports that RIM (Balsille's company) has just purchased 26 acres of prime real estate in nearby Cambridge ON, just off hwy 401. Maclean's magazine editorial June 11th 2007 issue. I would like to address that theory about RIM buying some land in Cambridge. This has nothing to do with an arena, for ad NHL team or other wise. Why? RIM bought the land, not Jim Balsille. Jim Balsille bought the Predators, not RIM. If Balsille were to use his publicly traded company to purchase property for his personal interest....he would find himself in alot of legal trouble. Furthermore, RIM is currently housed in something like 20 seperate buildings, they have plans to move all operations under one roof, this is more then likely what the land in Cambridge was purchased for.
