Canada Immigration - Entry Points - Any Comments?

Travel Info
Hello: I got Canadian PR - currently in the US (midwest).

Which entry point would be friendly and smoother ? What type of questions will they ask me?

Thanks

i can't see it being a big problem for you to come across.. even to just say you are visiting or shopping or tell them what it is you are doing, I really don't think it would be a huge issue though.. as long as you have your proper id.. if anything they would likely ask where/which city you are going to and how long you plan to stay.. good luck and i hope you enjoy your visit here..

I think they are all fairly minor. If you have no problems, have all your documentation. They will ask where you live, where you are going in Canada. They may ask how long you will be staying, if you have anything in your luggage to declare.

If you are going to Canada on business they will ask what company you are working with, and what you will be doing - and they may deny you entry if you don't fit their requirements here.

If you are going for pleasure - for a holiday or to visit someone, they won't give you any problem.

They are all pretty friendly.
Stick to the main crossings. Basically, I'd say the rule of thumb is any one that is open 24 hours. Secondary crossings have more time on their hands and tend to spend way more time being bullies. They are less professional and less likely to have a lot of experience dealing with your type of situation. Any main crossing tends to have dealt with all kinds of issues and have less time with each person.

They are likely to ask you the usual. What you will be doing, where you will be going, How long you will be staying.
you can go to any border or airport... they are all smooth... but try some popular borders... if you are in midwest... you may want to try going to Detroit-Windsor border...

I think the rule is that you have to go to Canada for stamping and validating your CAN PR withing 1 year of the medical exam...

after that you can stay out of the coun try for max upto 3 years our of 5 years...

Once you immigrate to Canada... you will require to give a Canadian address so that you can receive your PR Card (mailed to your address in Canada)

When I went to Buffalo, NY border, they asked me for show my bank statments to see settlement funds thats to it and in 3 minutes I was done...
