My mother, Indian Citizen, applied for tourist visa for canada. How ever, her application has been rejected.? |
Travel Info My mother is staying in Delhi, India. She has three sons and four daughters. She is 69 years old. Her one son (my brother) is a permanent resident of Canada. He is recently blessed with second son. He wanted my mother to visit him for 2-3 months and spend some time with his family. My mother is staying in Delhi with other two sons. We all sisters and brothers are married and settled in India. I lost my father recently. so we all felt that it will be a good change for her as she has been in grief. She has her property in India and sufficient money to support herself. Still the Canadian High Commission has rejected her application on the grounds that She may not come back to India and that she has no travel history, besides that she does not have sufficient funds. pl. advise what to do? Travel Tips there is no need for an immigration attorney as your mother will only be entering as a tourist and not an immigrant. there's nothing else you can do about it except gather enough funds, possibly have your mom visit a neighboring country to get a travel history, apply again... and pray that she gets approved. since it's not an immigration case... you can't appeal. you can only apply again and hope for the best. ps... your mom might have enough rupees... but not enough canadian equivalent. that's why the consul says your mom does not have enough funds while you think she does. Others Rules are for the common good. apeal if your not happy You need to consult with an immigration lawyer familiar with Canadian immigration laws. My suggestion would be for the son who is a permanent resident of Canada to check with a lawyer locally, along with checking if the Indian Consulate-General in Toronto can offer any advice on her situation. Canada Immigration website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/index... Immigration lawyers website http://www.canadavisa.com/ Consulate-General of India in Toronto http://www.cgitoronto.ca/ there is nothing you can do. There have been many recent cases of people with the same story not returning and claiming refugee status and leaving Canadians holding the bag. Sorry. |
