Just Wondering!!! How do they (Canadian Immigration) do that?????

Travel Info
Canadian Immigration authorities Don't stamp the passport of PR holders when they exiting and entering that Canada, How do they know that how long a person stayed outside of Canada?
I am not asking about Canadian citizens or travel to/from US, Its about PR holders traveling to/from other part of the world.

Permanent Residents need 3 years of stay in Canada from last 4 years to be elligible for citizenship. So how do they verify that stay if they don't stamp????
Any immigration expert here? Please awnser

Travel Tips
It is all handled electronically.
In fact, thats the way it should be done worldwide, much easier, trackable and faster.
Think how Fedex does Tracking for packages. Now use that application and apply it on Visas, thats how its done.

Computer tracking
