Does anyone have knowledge of student rentals in Thunder Bay?

Travel Info
What is the best way for a college student to get himself and belongings to Thunder Bay at an economical standpoint and of coure, that would depend on how much stuff, besides his computer he would need to take at beginning?

Travel Tips
Depends on how much stuff you are bringing and what you are bringing. For example, if you are bringing furniture to Thunder Bay, you can't use the bus. At a certain point even if you aren't taking furniture, if you have enough other things, a bus will be more expensive than renting a U-haul.

When I moved 8 hours to get to university, I owned a car and we rented a U-haul trailer to put the larger things in. It worked out to be cheaper because of what I was bringing to do it that way, rather than in boxes under a bus. ($50 for about 15lbs gets expensive)

Another option is to rent a van through National or Enterprise and drive. Both have offices in Thunder Bay to leave the van at. There you have another possible problem depending on how old you are....you either have an extra fee to pay if yo are under 21 or they can't rent to you because of company policy.

Good luck at school!
Others
You don't mention where you're coming from. That would be a helpful piece of info considering trains and buses only leave from certain places. If you wanted to, you could probably rent a truck through a place like Discount car and truck rental, call your local office to see if they do one way trips to the Thunder Bay office(there is one, I looked it up). Most of the offices in the GTA don't seem to offer one ways and it may not be the most economical. A greyhound from toronto to thunder bay would take 20 hours, they let you store some limited stuff under the bus(the essentials) and a student ticket is $110.00. That seems to be the cheapest, then maybe, if you trust the mail, you could mail the rest to yourself.
