Can you go to canada if you have DWI? |
Travel Info I heard this somewhere and just wanted to know if it was true.. i dont drink and drive so dont worryy! Travel Tips You can...but there are a few things you need to make sure of first. You need to apply for rehabilitation. Usually that means at least 5 years has elapsed since you were convicted. There is a charge to apply for this. You also need to allow enough time for a decision to be made on admissibility. Canada takes drinking and driving very seriously and we don't want to endanger the citizens of our country by allowing anyone in that may endanger our safety. Well lets see.... if you're a U.S. Army deserter or some islamlic terrorist then you're pretty much welcomed with open arms. But a DWI?! They might have a little problem with that! |
