17 visiting Canada- Parent needed?

Travel Info
i am 17 and want to visit a couple friends in Canada. I am traveling by bus so i dont need a passport, but do i need a parent. Am i allowed to cross the border on my own?

Travel Tips
You definitely need written content from both your parents and you need to bring a photo id . When you get to the border they'll ask you many questions like where are you staying, why are you visiting so be prepared to answer!!
Others
I don't think unless your 18, or with someone 18 and older.
You should have written consent from your parents. And you will need photo ID and a birth certificate.

They will probably want to know where you are staying, and a contact person.
erm well i dont think you would need one. but then again.. hmm im not sure. lol
