Whats a great place to live in Canada? A place thats not too expensive.?

Travel Info
I'm kinda picky, no college towns, and some place with a scenic view. Are there any places like that in Canada??

Travel Tips
Halifax which is the provincial capital of Nova Scotia. Halifax offers the atmosphere of small coastal villages, country charm, and wilderness for which Nova Scotia is known.

Life revolves around the sea. A very safe environment for living. Whatever your budget, there is an investment here for you. Whether it鈥檚 just a small building plot or a hundred acres, a cabin or a mansion, you will find it here. Visitors will find lush vegetation and few, but absolutely delightful, people.

You would be hard pushed to find more courteous, laid-back and helpful English speaking folk, only to pleased to welcome you to their Paradise. The air is crisp, clean and bracing.

If you love the outdoors, you couldn't come to a more beautiful spot. The people of Nova Scotia are warm, welcoming and down-to-earth. If you book a visit, you'll never want to leave!

It's also much more like the UK in many respects, i.e. sense of humour, drinking culture etc.

I live in Southern Ontario and it's not too expensive.

We have 4 distinct seasons, there are two great lakes near by, and it's a wonderful place to live.
well if you want a nice place ontario is great but if you want a view AND not that expencive, around niagra falls, because yeah your house might be a tiny bit more your clothes, like the malls there are mostly outlit malls so they ALWAYS have sales
I think particularly in BC there are. Somewhere in the Okanagan or on Vancouver Island. Most medium sized towns have a college but it isn't like the states where that is the main industry. Osooyos is a particularly nice small town right on the US border. It is beautiful with a gorgous lake and warm weather. Victoria is really expensive but there are towns north of there that are pretty but less expensive.
First stay away from Vancouver BC. Very expensive. If you wish a rather inexpensive place why not look at Nova Scotia? It is reasonably cheap and one of the most beautiful places on earth.

British Columbia is a gorgeous place and IF you can find a reasonably priced place there are lots of great places here.
I'm in the Toronto area, but for what you are looking for i would suggest Ottawa.
A very nice place to live.
e-mail me if you want more information
Hi.Ive been all over canada.the west coast is nice with the rockies but since 96 when UK had to give hong kong back to chinese,Its become very expensive.Alberta, nice views but expensive,1000$ a month for one bedroom plus utilities.Saskatchewan, cheaper but alot of flat land but people are friendly.Manitoba, same thing until you see cambrian shield which at first is a gradual ascent, then lots of trees. The last three have darn cold winters as does Ontario, the hub of canada and most of population. Its a bigger province, good fishing, hunting and lots of nature trails. The north is different than the south.people up north are friendly, good scenery but very cold in winter,Southern ont.has moderate winters but high humidity year round.Quebec is not my favourite place as "french only lang.".New brunswick, nice place but wouldnt live there.Prince edward island has some panoramic views but dont know cost of living.Newfoundland is good but cold winters.Nova scotia would be your best bet as people are open and friendly,Housing reasonable, cost of living reasonable.I would pick the Annapolice valley.Stay out of halifax, very tough town.Hope ive been of help to you,my memory pretty good after all these years.
