We want to go no a cruise in July or August. How far in advance would we have to book it? |
Travel Info We may have free airplane tickets to Miami, but don't want to book the acutal cruise until we know for sure. How far in advancewould we have to know? Looking to go to Caribbean 3-4 nights-- any idea what price is reasonable for this type of cruise. We've never been on a cruise before. Travel Tips This isn't exactly what you asked for, but since you kind of waited till the last minute, this might give you the best value for your money. If you search the web for "last minute vacation" you will get many sites that offer options for booking vacations within the next few weeks. I know of people who do this and have gone on great trips for less money, but I don't know which sites they use or which ones are best. I did a quick search on one and they had "ocean view" cabins available on a four-day cruise of the western Caribbean for about $450/person. These sites are trying to fill in the last few rooms on cruises that are leaving port very soon. Others My best friend and I are going on a cruise to Mexico in July, and we started paying in January. I think the longer you wait, the more you will have to pay, but it's almost always possible to do things last minute. It depends, we were trying 2 months ago for a cruise out of South Hampton with Princess and we have been on a waitlist for a balcony forever, we are still in 20th place, so to avoid any disappointment book as soon as you can if you care what category you want. =) Call your travel agent they can help you with pricing and deals As soon as you know for sure about your airline tickets book the cruise. My daughter books those 3/4 day cruises all the time and never has a problem getting a cabin. Of course, the later you book, your choices of cabins will be limited.
