First Trip to St. Lucia?

Just won a trip to St. Lucia. Never been there. They are putting us up at the Almond Smugglers Cove Hotel (all inclusive). I know they just finished renovations at the hotel. Anyone been there since March 2007 to tell me how the hotel is now. Also whats to do in St. Lucia? Do you have to dress at night to go out to dinner or elsewhere?

I went 4 years ago. It's really nice island. You can wear casual clothes (no swim wear in town). The towns of Casteries (capital) and Souffries are good to visit. Take a day-long taxi ($20) around the entire island to see all kinds of neat sites. The Pitons (2 mountain peaks) and nice to see. There are little huts around that bake special flat bread which is tasty. The marketplace is really touristy and hard to bargain. Also, people will try to sell you jewelry everywhere. The beaches are pretty nice. You can scuba dive and snorkel or take cruises around. You can visit nearby islands too. ENjoy!
