Anyone been diving in Belize (Blue Hole)? |
Travel Info Any tips on travel? Travel Tips I went to Belize a few years ago with a friend. We stayed 5 days inland, and 5 days on Caye Caulker. Caulker is a little more laid back than the other islands. You can arrange for diving/snorkeling trips from there. I don't dive, but my friend does, and she said it was incredible. She went with Frenchies Diving. I did some snorkeling, and had a great time, it was beautiful!!! Caye Caulker was so much fun, it was seriously casual for everything, the restaurants and bars had sand floors. No shoes needed your entire stay there :-) We stayed at the Rainbow Hotel, it was modest and clean. Getting there is easy, there is a shuttle that can take you from the airport to the water, then you take a boat out to the islands. Have fun!!! Other Travel Tips I have 2 friends who have snorkeled in Belize and they both say it is the most awesome experience. I don't know about the blue hole, but, in general, I guess Belize is somewhere worth traveling to and definately worth snorkeling/diving. |
