I'm planning to go 2 weeks to Belize this summer. What budget would you recommend? |
Travel Info I would like to do independant kayaking for a couple of days, hike, explore various parts. Decent hotel and medium budget food...Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks. Travel Tips Lucky you!!! I went a few years ago with a friend for 10 days, and it was under $2000 each. We split our trip 5 days on Caye Caulker, and 5 days in San Ignacio. (We also took a bus into Guatemala for one night to see the ruins at Tikal. I would HIGHLY recommend this, it was awesome, you can stay right in the national park). We took local transportation, so no car rental needed (you can take a bus, most lodging can set up transportation for you, so check with them). We stayed at Maya Mountain Lodge. The meals there were included and they were FANTASTIC! They also arranged some independent activities for us like canoing the Macal River, and guided tours of the Blue Hole National Park, caves, and some local ruins. Our guide was Luis, he was great!!!! At the time, it was US$50/day for a guide. Feel free to contact me if you want more info! Have fun!!!!! :-) Source(s): http://www.mayamountain.com/ http://www.tikalpark.com/default.htm... Other Travel Tips Belize can be cheap if you look for bargains once you are there. But I wolud reccomend making reservations for a hotel before u get there. You can find a decent place for 100-150 a night |
