What would be a good destination for me and my girlfriend for a cruise? East or West Carribean? |
Travel Info I have never been out side the US, so I am not sure where to go, I am looking at cruises for december, and I found a few, some go to the bahamas near jamica, some go by cozumel, the cayman islands, and some go by some jamican place. We want somewhere that is VERY beautiful, we just want to go snorkeling and swim around on the beaches when we are there, maybe hike around too. Where would be good for us? Travel Tips Then there only place for you is a cruise that brings you to ANTIGUA check out http://www.adventureantigua.com/...... and http://www.antiguanice.com Antigua is a little piece of paradise, has 365 LOVELY beaches and warm, friendly, inviting accommodating people. Delicious local dishes, lots to see and do. see for yourself. Lovely sites, hikes, explore the coral reefs - you can feed the fish. Get a taste of the night life - clubs, etc... truly a lot to .... the most awesome breath-taking Sunsets picturesque moonlit sky with the stars all aglow...... Jamaica is a beautiful country but the crime rate is high there. Others Eastern Caribbean is wonderful!! My husband and I went on a 7-day cruise to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and St. Marten last November. It was wonderful! The beaches on St. Marten are awesome. We went on a snorkeling shore excursion on St. Thomas and then another to St. John. Had a fantastic time! both are very beautiful, but check the weather web site for hurrican season---sorry my spell check has dissappearded, so sorry for the misspellings try the beautiful sceneries in the beautiful islands in the Philippines such as the Underground River in Palawan, or in one of the best island Cuyo, Palawan, the Amanpulo Beach Resort famous for its white sand and romantic getaways...You can have the island by yourselves...Try its beautiful cruise out there...It may be once in a lifetime. so come now. I perfer the easter Caribbean, but either are nice. I also perfer the least amount of days at sea so you can visit more islands because I love to snorkel. Check out cruises leaving San Juan since they go further south, away from some of the other cruise boat destinations, therefore, hopefully not as many people at the islands when you visit. Like at St. Thomas, there might be about five cruise boats there... Anyway...bring your own snokel equipment to help save you money. Don't go for the tours, not unless it's a booze cruise with snorkeling...catamaran, they're good, but you can also just ask a taxi driver to bring you to the best beach for snorkeling, or a beach bar and snorkeling...or beach bar and jet skiing...and then have him pick you up at a certain time. I'd worry a little about hiking on my own though....you never know what's around the corner on some of these islands, so try and go with a group. I find good deals with iBtraveling.com and you might too? Have fun! just go tijuana |
