I am getting married soon and need an idea for an affordable honeymoon location. USVI preferred no passports? |
Travel Info We have 6 children between us so are looking to spend no more than $2000 for our honeymoon. We want to go to a beach location but do not have passports so are interested in the US Virgin Islands since a passport is not required. Any suggestions from people who have been there would be appreciated. Travel Tips geez, Penny, didn't anyone read your question? Anyway, here in the VI.....where you do NOT need a passport to go to and from....Bolongo Bay Beach Club is just out my office window next door......inexpensive for St Thomas; great beach, two restaurants on premises; you'll need rental car to get to and fro.... more expensive but maybe within reach would be Wyndham Sugar Bay and Marriott's Frenchman's Reef congrats, good luck, and if you go to Bolongo, wave at the condo complex office next door! Others I would definetely suggest the Dominican republic not only has it the most beautiful beaches and landscape but also the friendliest people who are a constant delight throughout your stay I have benn there twice and hope to go back there soon, it truly is something else.Wherever you choose I wish you all the best for your future and I hope fortune smiles on you.Good luck and best wishes. JO X I agree with the one guy. If you want quality and quantity in a budget, go with the Dominican Republic. Passport are not expensive. Any travel agent will tell you that the Dom Rep is theeee safest place for Americans today. Don't want to leave 6 children all alone in the world. Research the web via Google for the best site for you. My sister, who is getting married in May, got a honeymoon in the city of Punta Cana for $2000. And I'm talking 8 days in an All-Inclusive resort with RT coach plane tickets (all for two people of course). Plus, they LOVE americans there. You will get free upgrade after free upgrade!!!!!! you better inform some more about the passport issue because the passport issue is for returning to the US your HOMELAND go usci.gov for more info or call you passport department Good luck & Congrats by the way the only place I know that you can get a classic honemoon so cheap is STM (st marteen) work with all the Islands (always go on business) the USVI are very expensive by the way their is a woman who just say that DomiNIcan Republic is a US teritory I have never heard of that one since when did that happen (hahha) if you do go to Santo Domingo (domiNICAN Republic) do stay where the tourist go Good luck again & have a fun honeymoon I have 3 kids and me and my wife have been in the same sitituation. Our travel agent specializes in cheap travel and his name is Mr. Gordon he had plenty of honeymoon idea that allowed us to do everything on our honeymoon that we want. And we went to 3 hawaiian Islands in 7 days and loved every minute of it for I think 1800 out our pocket. I would suggest you give him a call at 808-375-3922. But if your just looking to do it all on your own we use www.ytbtravel.com/gordonsa for cheap vacation packages. And Congratulations and Good Luck on your search. To go to dominican republic you need Passport. I guess the one guy never read you complete question. Puerto Rico is good but expensive. Do not to much detail were you leave so is hard to see how much is the travel cost. 2000 with 6 kids is a low budget. May want to see if cant find someone to take care of the kids and you two go together. Passporst i think is $150 ea. 2 adults + 6 children = 8 persons with 2000 us = 250 us each So I hope you don麓t take the children with you... Anyway you need a passport to travel , otherwise you never can come back to your kids. There are some good deals for the moment in the Dominican Republic and some have the complete package with the civil ceremoney included go to www.platinium-travel.com |
