Tropical vacation bargain in July? |
Travel Info Looking to take a 3 or 4 night vacation to someplace tropical in early July. Leaving from Boston and don't want to spend a lot of time on a plane. Assuming it's off season in Carri bean, where are the best bargains? Travel Tips Try Jamaica it's beautiful there, you can also just go by what sell's off on the dates you want to leave, take a gamble all the islands are beautiful. Call a travel agent Good luck Others Sunscape the Beach in Punta Cana Dominican Republic....all inclusive resort...went there this past november....pool is awesome, all the drinks you can drink, all the food you can eat...could easily spend 2 weeks there.... The Bahamas always have good bargains, it's not exactly in the Caribbean but close enough. http://www.sidestep.com/ cheap too book from www.fodors.com/ the travel guide book people have suggestions My wife and I and another couple went to the Viva Wyndham Maya last year. Beautiful resort set in a tropical forest. Great beach. I thought the food was good although some reviewers didn't like it. Go figure. If they didn't like the food I would hate to be a chef where ever they eat. I would agree with the reviewers, though, in that the beds are kinda hard. BUT, for the price and the environment, and the nightly entertainment, and how close it is to Playa Del Carmen for some shopping and a little bit of night life, we were totally pleased. Take a day trip to Xel Ha (a natural oceanic estuary where you can snorkel, walk on the bottom of the ocean with a helmet on your head -- it's called Aqua Trek, float down a river until you reach the ocean, etc) and also go see the Mayan ruins of Tulum. For $155 per night for a couple with all your food and drinks included I don't see how you can find a better bargain than this.. Look through Expedia.com http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/czmvm/main... Me. I noticed that spirit vacations has some good deals right now. I was thinking of doing the vegas deal, but it looks like they have some tropical locations on sale too. |
