Caribbean destinations? |
Travel Info I am from Texas and I will be planning a vacation sometime within the next two years and would like to really plan way ahead of time. If you could visit three places in the caribbean area, where would they be? Try to be more specific than just the island, such as a city, area, or port. Obviously, I want some suggestions from people who have either been there or are extremely familiar with the area. As a secondary question, what time of year would you choose? Thanks! Travel Tips It truly depends on what you want to do when you visit. Some destinations are more geared towards duty-free shopping, some are adventurous, some are touristy. But here are my top picks. One of your destinations SHOULD definitely be Antigua. Other islands you can check out - Nevis & Aruba Others Try Simpson Bay in St. Maarten it`s beautiful and so many things to do there. I`ve been there and will be going back in July . I have been to Jamaica twice. I go to the Montego Bay area. I stay at the Wyndam Rose Hotel. (I think the name has changed) Nightly entertainment wonderful. Real Reggae music. Excellent food. Rooms are being rehabed. Water slide with Lazy River. poolside afternoon music entertainment. Nice clean beach. Parasailing, sailboats, Tons of nearby activities for the adventurous or not. Love it. Do not go to Ocho Rios. This place gives Jamaica its bad name. Full golf course at hotel. The best thing to do would be to take a cruise where you can visit two or three islands. Some are St. thomas, St. John and I found Puerto Rico beautiful and also with a great nightlife.
