Which vacation should I do, a cruise or all-inclusive resort? |
Travel Info I have been to an all-inclusive resort but never a cruise. I can't decide if I want to cruise or not. Please give me pros and cons. Thanks Travel Tips I have done both and enjoy both pretty much equally. Both have their advantages.... Cruise: better food, more activities, you get to visit many places without unpacking and repacking, you can drive to many of the ports and save money on airline tickets All Inclusive: booze is included in price, airfare is included in price. You would have to try a cruise and decide for yourself. Find a short cruise for a lower price and see if you like it. Most likely, you will become a cruise addict after you try it. Others resort resort resort...tons of reports lately of ships hitting things and sickness all the time..i wouldnt put myself and my vacation at risk.....do the resort and check to see if they have any day crusies to anywhere close to the resort to see the sights...this way you get the best of both worlds.. Go to an all inclusive resort especially in Ocho Rios, Montego Bay or Negril in Jamaica. Make sure that you go out of the hotel to experience the culture and also you can go on tours. Cruise's suck. Stick with the all inclusives. On a cruise you are lucky if you are in are on an island for 1/2 a day! You spend 90% of your time on the boat. I prefer cruising cause as some one previously stated you get to see so many different places and only have to unpack once... the only thing is that if you are a drinker then you will have to pay for your drinks while on a ship... I usually carry on a bottle or 2 of booze at the boarding port... Hey either way you'll be on vacation so make the best of it and have fun!! Scuba diving around Proselyte Reef. Snorkeling and swimming and body boarding Windsurfing at Orient Beach and Coconut grove. Para sailing of Orient Beach Sky Diving at Grand Case airport Hiking 鈥?there are 25 miles of clearly defined footpaths running through the hills and along the shore. Horseback riding Best Beach for a Half-Day Visit : Mullet Bay Best Beach for the Dedicated Beach Bum : Orient Beach , aka Baie Orientale, technically, is located in St. Martin but it's an easy taxi ride from Philipsburg. The beach has a section for nudists as well as more crowded areas. You can rent water gear and beach lounges, and there are numerous bars and food shacks. Windsurfing is good here and you can rent equipment. Best Beach for Active Types : Dawn Beach for snorkeling and body surfing. Secluded Beach : Cupecoy Beach , which has caves and rock cliffs, has lots of private nooks and crannies and Dawn Beach for snorkeling. As St Maartens is 100% duty free almost anything. Best buys would be electrical goods, cameras ,gold, booze and cigarettes Golf on the Dutch side at Mullet Bay .
